Life

Located in the center of downtown's vibrant Arts District, Sycamore Square is within walking distance of many of the city's finest performance centers, museums, and sporting events. The recently renovated Civic Center Music Hall lies directly across the street from Sycamore Square, featuring world-class musicians as well as our OKC Philharmonic, Ballet Oklahoma, and the Canterbury Choral Society. The annual Festival of the Arts, celebrated as much for its culinary delights as for its performing and fine arts, is held near the beautifully landscaped Myriad Botanical Gardens and the adjacent Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory.

Within their diverse collection, the Oklahoma City Museum of Art contains the world's largest collection of Chihuly glass. The museum also screens foreign, independent, and classic movies that are difficult if not impossible to see elsewhere in the city. The Ford Center, currently the home of the NBA's New Orleans/ Oklahoma City Hornets, also serves as a venue for both concerts and sporting events.

The Oklahoma Spirit trolley cars, designed to look like vintage trolleys, provide rides between the downtown district and Bricktown. One of the trolley stops is less than a block from the Sycamore complex. Bricktown offers many fine restaurants, exciting clubs and various musical venues. The Bricktown Ballpark, rated among the nation's best minor league ballparks, is home to the Oklahoma Redhawks. Another popular attraction is the Bricktown Canal, a landscaped mile-long canal, with water taxi rides culminating at the commemorative Land Run Monument.
